Business planning – How companies achieve business plans

In spite of what we read in the papers not all businesses are suffering from a major downturn. Some are fortunate because of the specific industry segment they are in but others are just quietly doing well, irrespective of how badly many are doing in their industry segment. Very little of this is down to pure luck. It’s usually due to understanding what their customers want and implementing successful marketing plans to give it to them.

I have heard many times that if it weren’t for people, running a business would be easy. I have also heard the comment that all of the employment legislation makes it too difficult to set up, run, expand or change a business.
