Government funding a sales person for businesses |
|
Government funding a sales person, one day a month, for local businesses is my suggestion as to the best way they can use their, sorry OUR limited resources
The government give so much money to organisations who know how to play the system and therefore fleece it of available resources through tick box exercises and consultancy fees. The net effect is of minimal value to the real businesses in the community. Profitable businesses don’t approach the government for funding as they know what a ball ache of admin the system is and would rather just fund what they need through their profits. Small businesses that are trying to get a foothold are constantly slowed by the never ending circle of business which doesn’t permit enough real-time on any single task. If the business focuses on finding new business then production is impacted, if production is slowed then so is finance, they can’t raise the invoices... and back around we go... Small businesses can’t afford the extra person as they are already stretched financially. They don’t want to borrow from the bank because they want to fund any evolution under their own steam and not be beholden to the banks. Sensible practice and one more should follow... This then means that rather than funding training for a managing director who is very competent at what he does, otherwise the company wouldn’t be where it is anyway! An extra body would be of most benefit to small companies today... And for most companies searching for more sales opportunities then the government funding of a sales person to work one day a month for them would be by far the best way to use the limited resources that are available. That would really help businesses grow and prosper. Thank you. Jon Davey 01753 852904 |
