New security device announced
Directors may be intrigued to learn that a new security application has been announced by the technology firm eEye Digital Security.

According to the company, the device will allow small and medium-sized businesses to save money in its implementation, offering integrated and secure options.

The firm stated that this is its first offering to utilise both vulnerability assessment and security management into a single unit.

In addition, it said that the REM Security Management Appliance 1505 can update its database each time a user starts a new session.

Chief executive at the company Kamal Arafeh said that the application will sufficiently aid firms.

"Given that security appliances represent a significant portion of the security market, eEye hopes to satisfy some of this demand by introducing advances in speed, accuracy and exploit prevention not available until now," he commented.

In related news, Verizon recently announced that it is looking to boost security channels after its acquisition of Cybertrust.
