Businesses may be aided with a new storage solution, the expert Symantec has stated. Announcing the release of the Veritas CommandCentral 5.0 range, the company said that the new data storage facilities offer firms a unified approach, news that may be of interest to company directors. Furthermore, this is the only storage resource management (SRM) equipment to utilise a number of channels such as automated storage processes and to align capabilities with refined business needs, it said. Such features will sufficiently aid larger companies who struggle to handle large amounts of data at the same time, the organisation argued. Rob Soderbery, senior vice president of the storage foundation group at Symantec, said that business running will be made easier with the development. "CommandCentral Storage 5.0 is the only SRM solution that scales across the data centre and supports everything in the data centre, providing a solution that is ready for the largest and most demanding organisations," he commented.
