Rob Wilson (MP READING East) met with one of the worlds richest men when he escorted World famous Microsoft boss Bill Gates to a reception at the Palace of Westminster yesterday (30th January).
Mr Wilson hosted the event for the Prince’s Trust and Microsoft, which has its European base of operations in his Reading East constituency. Mr Wilson stated: “I am delighted to be able to host this event”. “Bill Gates is a figure of international renown and the founder of Microsoft, a major employer in my constituency”. “I have worked with the Prince’s Trust since last year and it does excellent work enabling 18 to 30 year olds to have the opportunity to set up their own business and learn all the skills associated with that”. “The trust’s 25th anniversary is a cause for celebration and there are few better role models than Bill Gates.” Along with some young people who have been supported in business by the Prince’s Trust, speakers for the event included the new Work and Pensions Secretary, James Purnell, Mr Gates and Martina Milburn, chief executive officer of the Prince’s Trust. www.businessinberkshire.co.uk
