Microsoft scoops award

Software world leader Microsoft received an international recognition for its top health and safety practices.

The company located with in the Thames Valley Park scooped the coveted Five Star Health and Safety Audit Award at a ceremony at Lincoln’s Inn in London.

The award followed a broad safety inspection from world-class auditors scrutinised the efficiency of Microsoft’s safety measures. They also went through their accident figures with a fine toothed comb.

Leader’s in the health and safety industry where present last month to see Microsoft accept the award at the central London venue.

A member of the British Safety Council commented: “A positive company image through first-class health and safety is vital”.

“It not only makes excellent business sense to have the safest workplace possible, but it also boosts the morale of employees”.

“I hope other companies will take the lead from Microsoft Ltd and forge the way towards a safer future with a Five Star award.”
